So I have been checking out these new games and social networks created by Linden Labs for quite some time now, such as Creatorverse for the iPad and Patterns {a downloadable sandbox game, with the ideals of Minecraft but, oddly, better visual}. Since I haven’t checked out the site recently I found out about “Dio” through a fellow blogger’s page and was quite intrigued to find out what this actually was. I did some research and found that it is a type of social network where you bring someone that you may or may not know into your world whether it be a real world or a place you made up. With the numerous editing tools, you can customize to even the point of making it a kind of interactive personal game where you can move around from room to room watching videos, seeing images, or picking up objects which can all be told through a story created by you.

It took me all night to really catch a grip on what the hell I was actually getting into but so far I am impressed by the help I found through Tutorials by Linden Labs and through viewing other Dio users “Places.” Now this all may or may not make sense which is why I encourage you to check out some of the videos, the “about” on the website, as well as checking it out on your own. You can practice with a room until you get it right while keeping it private until its fully ready for use by others around the world or just friends.

Since there was a storm last night in the city, I was up all night with the loud thundering trying to figure out this website. I created a story line based on one of my In-world Characters named Lenora Merlo. Hope you enjoy it as much as I did and be sure to check out the “Little Blue Room.”
